Hawks have a convention each year, just the team and fans. Nothing to do with skating.
Hossa is doing his off season work out regiment. Hasn't skated though, they'll get more a clear idea of him at camp. All accounts though so far, from Bowman and Q is that he'll be ready for camp to participate 100%.
Good scrimmage today from Teuvo. 1 G and 1 A.
You can take a look at the video.

I never heard anything about the Hawks going after Parise or Suter. Luongo will never end up in Chicago. Hawks are content to go with Crawford and Emery. Now talk that Doan wants to come to Chicago. We'll see.
Here is an article from Chris Kuc about the Hawks offering Parise a " significant" contract. Obviously the offer didn't matter as Parise wanted to play back at home in Minnesota.

As for Luongo, it's rather doubtful he'll come to Chicago, but until he gets moved in a deal, its always a possibility.
Shane Doan would be huge for us. Especially on the PP which struggled mightily in the playoffs.
Never saw the article about Parise. Luongo would sure look good in a Hawks jersey. We don't like the Canucks in Chicago, but that would be a huge addition.Doan would be another guy that would really help out. Don't know what kind of coin he's looking for. Hawks could use another good all-around Fwd.
Watch live streaming of the Hawks convention Friday / Saturday. Here is the link or just go to NHL.com > Chicago Blackhawks starting Friday 5pm cst.

Just wondering what the Blackhawks faithful think the team will do with Dan Carcillo, who seems well on his way to being 100% recovered in time for the season to start. He's a little shit but holds some serious value in leagues that count Hits and PIM if he starts in the top-6 again.
On pace for around 33 points, 240 PIM and 220 hits...do you think that Carcillo will be given the same opportunity next year or do you think the Hawks plan on him being in the bottom-six?
With Stalberg taking a big step forward in development and production, along with Saad likely to get a chance in the top 6, I'm not sure Carcillo will get the same opportunities he did last season. If Saad isn't ready, Carbomb could get back onto a line with Kane but at this point I'm not expecting it.
It's too bad, he was really showing what he's capable of before the injury.

Thanks for the thoughts FTD! Can't hit you with rep because I've hit you too recently...I'll get around to getting you. Maybe your Asia Eagles post LOL.
Not a Blackhawk faithful (muahaha I've infiltrated them) but I'd assume that if all of them are healthy you'll see Hossa Toews Sharp Kane and Keith on the #1 unit...that combo is daaaaangerous.

Hey Shake, what are your thoughts on Jeremy Morin? Looked like he was on his way to a nice roster spot before his concussion, and then the shoulder injury (I think that's what it was at the WJC).
Brandon Saad has kind of taken over the surprise Golden Boy status in Chicago, but do you think Morin can get back into the picture? He looked like an NHL player (offensively at least) in his 9 game stint in 2010-11 before getting hurt.

That's exactly his main issue ( health) if he can overcome some health issues and remain on the ice he has every bit of chance to succeed as much as Brandon Saad does or at least close. Morin can play both sides ( LW, RW).
I think Saad has the higher future over Saad. But as mentioned Saad can play LW and Morin can slot in on RW and leapfrog Mayers, Hayes and Frolik eventually.
Again it comes to health with Morin. If he gets in camp, stays healthy and has a good camp, he'll climb his prospect status back up a bit. He'll initially most likely need an " injury" to happen to get back with the club though. So ...things for him are sort of in limbo at the moment.
So IMO it comes down to him getting another shot when injury hits and he gets a call, if he comes up and produces then he'll be well on his way, if he comes up gets hurt or falters..well...its gonna be a long road for him.
