Or he wants to sign in Toronto and he's just waiting on Kawhi to sign to allow the team to get the big ducks in a row before he gets a contract?
Or even any team. Maybe he's just going where there's money, and Lakers have no money once Kawhi signs, so he waits for Kawhi to sign in (let's say) Toronto, he can now ask for more money from the Lakers?

So, sounds like the Clippers are out and it's down to the Lakers and Raptors.
Next, sounds like the top priority is an organization giving him the best chance to win - advantage Lakers
Next priority appears to be trust in the organization - advantage Raptors
Another priority is that he wants to be close to home - advantage Lakers
Next I'm hearing he's interested in a long-term deal due to health concerns. Lakers can give him 4, Toronto can give him 5 - advantage Raptors; However! if he signs a long-term deal he would probably prefer to be close to home, so really - advantage Lakers
Conclusion - not looking good Toronto Sports Fans.
There's always a chance! Way better than at the start of the season, for sure. Still hopin!
Do people really think Kawhi’s legacy would be bigger winning a second championship in Toronto instead of winning multiple championships for the Lakers?
I do...
The difference is LeBron & Anthony Davis in LA. Anyone on a LeBron team is seen as second fiddle to him. In 20 years time, if he wins 2 in LA the line will be - yeah, he won 4, but 2 were because he played with LeBron.
Whereas if he won one more in Tor... it would most likely be. He's the only reason that team ever won one. He put that team over the top and on his back.
I mean... Dwayne Wade - only won a Championship with Shaq & LeBron.... so how great is Wade as an individual player? Winning with LeBron will have a similar - lesser - but similar effect to Leonard's legacy.
LBJ is in the GOAT conversation. He's going to shadow anyone he wins with.

I don't believe Leonard is thinking about legacy. He doesn't seem too concerned with what others think of him, which makes him incredibly awesome.
