Not a chance he's with the Ducks next year. 2-3 years.. min.
Hey Guys, i'm in "stock piling" mode and wondering what the feeling is about Troy Terry. Aside from seeing his performance in the WJC and sadly hi defeating Canada, i'm wondering if he's worth picking up and will he be up with Anaheim next year?
thanks for your feedback, Rep will be given.

Not against stockpiling a guy like that but he won't be up next year. Better odds a guy like Max Jones makes the jump.

Impressive WJC indeed, but I agree with Lucafen. Probably 2 - 3 years out at best and who knows how his career unfolds over that time. He's a long term investiment, wait and see type prospect IMO. Does he even stay in Anaheim? Too many unknowns for a kid who's simply not a lock, but has definite potential.
He was impressive in shootouts but other than that he was just good. 7pts in 7 games isn't bad at all but nothing to get too excited about.

Might never be an fantasy impact player at all.
i disagree with the above posters. I've looked into him since the WJC. from what I've seen, he's expected to be fighting for a roster spot next season. doesn't mean he'll get it, but he's closer than others are making it seem.
I see him as a third liner player, but with the ducks, that could be valuable, depending on the depth of your league. right now, the ducks' third line is Ritchie, vermette and kase, and in some very deep leagues, those guys have some value.
he's been tearing it up in the ncaa since he got back after the WJC.

He's been tearing it up since his return from the WJC?
He has one 5 point game and thats it. Nothing in the other 4.

Long term swing on a player without a massive ceiling. There should be much better options available.
If he does decide to become a fantasy relevant player in the future, I doubt you'll have difficulty getting him when that starts to show itself - in two-plus years.

Keep on, keepin' on.
The reason he has 0 points in 4 games is because he has a broken wrist and hasn't played.
