Did the math and counted games - if Galchenyuk misses exactly 6 weeks from the date the injury was announced, he misses 20. If it's 8 weeks, he misses 25.
Had to drop him today...no IR slots in my league. He's my favourite player too
C'mon Habs, IR the poor kid already!!!!!

Looks like Galchneyuk was driving Radulov....Rads has 5 points in his last 10 games after getting 18 in the 20 games before that. Not only that, these 5 points came up in spurts - 2 games to be exact. Rads got a goose eggs in 8 of the other 10, not exactly as consistent as he was with Gally!

I dunno based on the few Habs games I saw it honestly seemed to me like they just had really great chemistry together. I think if Radulov was the one that was hurt and Galchenyuk was still in, that Galchenyuk's numbers would suffer too.
I agree.
Not sure why people always say "x was driving y" when one gets injured/moved and their numbers suffer. Why would it not have more to do with the fact that you go from playing with an elite centre like Galchenyuk to playing with a plug like Danault? It doesn't say anything about your own ability -- your numbers are going to hurt regardless if you play with a crappy C.

They say it's little swelling and that he's day to day
The term they're using is "lightly injured". But coming from the Habs, given their track record with Price last season, that's like calling someone only "slightly dead." My guess is he doesn't take the ice for an NHL game until at least after the AS break.
