That tweet should say "he's looking to join a contending NHL team with other Russian players that he can go out drinking with..."
Maybe they were up against the Tweet character-length limit.

He was still available in my dynasty salary cap league so I scooped him up for basically nothing. Now the off-season will be more interesting. I've read Toronto, NYI and NYR are interested but I suspect a few more teams will be interested. WAS would be awesome but I don't know how Trotz would feel about coaching Radulov again.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
The team that picks him up (if any) will need to be both competitive and have cap space. A quick glance shows the Ducks and Preds as potential fits.

Hilarious, I know,
Anaheim seems like the fit to me, especially with Boudreau as coach.... but with Vatanen, Lindholm, and Andersen all needing new contracts maybe that cap space disappears.
For everyone who looks at this thread and goes, Yeah yeah yeah, Radulov, what a diva, we've heard this before, why should I care? Here's why:
Radulov's KHL production, made into NHL equivalent (NHLe) using Rob Vollman's methodology:
Year 82 GP NHLe KHL 2011 121 KHL 2012 103 KHL 2013 116 KHL 2014 82 KHL 2015 127 KHL 2016 101 Preds Playoff Run 2012 64
Now look, I'm not saying Radulov is going to step into the NHL and put up 100 points... that's nuts. His KHL production would be an outlier to the NHLe data, no doubt. And more than that, his usage in the NHL would be different. But even his wildly disappointing and short return to the NHL was good for a 64 point pace. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that Rads could be a top-20 forward, and to be able to scoop that from the wire for free is damn tantalizing.
NYI will have the cap space too. NYR perhaps too; they won't be re-signing Staal. And yeah, I don't see the Preds signing him at all.

I think Vatanen and Andersen are as good as gone. The Ducks have plenty of young talent on D to replace Vatanen, whose contract demands were reported to be high.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
"As a Nashville fan I can say he was nothing but disappointing when he joined for our playoff run a couple years ago. Good riddance, he can stay in the KHL. "
he tied for first on your team in playoff points in 2 fewer games than the other guy; I assume you're referring to the drinking with Kostitsyn thing?
10-team H2H points keeper league, keep 4
G: 2, A: 2, SOG: 0.15, Hit: 0.15, Block: 0.15, W: 3.5, Sv: 0.025, SO: 6

G: Ilya Sorokin, Thatcher Demko
And now Fetisov says Rads is going back to the NHL.
