I doubt anyone claims him at his cap hit. This is his second straight underwhelming season. It doesn't take much for goalies like him to fall off the map.
The Ducks have placed Khudobin on waivers... I wonder who claims him....

I doubt anyone claims him simply because of his $2.25M cap hit this year and next but it's not entirely out of the question.
I wonder if Montreal will take a chance. It depends on how comfortable they are with Condon and just how concerned they are about Carey Price.

Nashville could use a quality back up so Rinne doesnt have to play 76 games.
Arizona has Lindback. That's a good enough reason to be in the market.
Montreal looking for insurance?
Columbus?
Just speculation. If I had to bet, I would say nobody claims him.
I think the Jackets is a good shout

I won't lie, I have no idea how the math adds up in this case, but here's an interesting tidbit from capfriendly...

When I asked capfriendly how they got this figure, this was their reply:although he has a $2.25M cap hit, potential suitors for Khudobin would only require $1.415M in cap space should they want to claim him.

@chrispudsey ($2.25M / 186) x 117 = $1.415M

Cap hit comes from games remaining. Since about 35% of the season is over, that portion is removed from his cap hit of 2.25M.
CapFriendly did the math with the number of days in the season (i.e. full work year minus playoffs): ($2.25M / 186) x 117 = $1.415M (186 game days total vs 117 left)

I don't see the Oilers claiming him. Despite their recent success they are still in year long evaluation, they want Nilsson and Talbot (both RFAs) to play as many games as possible this season so they can determine what they have, no reason to add a 3rd guy into that mix.
I think Columbus, Arizona and Montreal could be likely suitors.
