So glad there is someone else who thought Guardians of the Galaxy was brutal.
Guardians was amazing IMO, because it was a superhero movie that didn't take itself seriously. It was a lot of fun. And the cast was great, especially Batista

Gone Girl - Really enjoyed this one, nice change to a crime drama - 9/10
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - Obviously its pretty predictable, but the perspective from the ape side was a nice change. 8/10

Saw "The Theory of Everything" last night and it was great! 8.5/10 .... and I think Eddie Redmayne is a shoe-in to win Best Actor at the Oscar's after seeing his potrayal of Hawking, he was absolutely amazing. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I loved it.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
Winter's Bone (2010)...little older but a must see. Very dark plot, but very well acted.

Watched a couple of classics this weekend. Started things off with "Cast Away".
I'm usually not a fan of the main actor, but oddly enough I kinda ended up rooting for him.
I followed that up almost immediately with "The Long Goodbye".
That one started off with a real shocker, but it was kind of repetitive and got a little tedious after a while.
There were a couple of bright spots, though. Like the scene with the emu.
