I remember watching the premiere.
About 15-20 minutes in I turned it off.

I think it got a lot of hype because the young (13-25) crowd has been very much into the fantastical/post-apocalyptic settings.
I dig that genre too (Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent, The Passage, etc.)

From what I remember, it's basically Hunger Games meets Avatar meets Predator... with misfit teenagers.

I got hooked on it too and binge-watched the 1st season. But then I found that I didn't care for the show and any of the characters anymore so I'm not going to watch season 2.

I wondered if it would burn out since it started so fast. Seems like the best shows start out slow and build up over time. I'll be binge-watching it too. Go back to work next week so I have 10 episodes to watch in 5 days.

Is anyone watching NatGeo's "Ultimate Survivor Alaska"? It's kind of like "The Amazing Race" if you got rid of the idiots.

Anyhow, new season just started this week. Kind of refreshing to watch a race with people who are actually competent.

I skimmed through the last twelve pages and haven't seen anyone mention the Netflix series "Marco Polo". I just finished watching the 3rd of 10 episodes in season 1, but I am not sure how I feel about it. There are some incredible, soaring vistas, highly detailed coustume, and some good acting, BUT the story isn't drawing me in like I had hoped. My favorite characters are the blind mentor who teaches Marco the ways of the Mongol people and Kubla Khan, the Khan of Khans who is both wise and ruthless. However, after those two, the rest of the cast, and especially Marco, is kind of boring.
Wondering what some of the other "Marco Polo" viewers think?

I watched the first episode. It was ok but not really sure what to make of it. I will carry on to the second episode but I hope the story starts to pick up.

Not to ruin anyone's aspirations of finding a good historical TV program, but I tried to watch episode 4 of "Marco Polo" last night, and kept falling asleep. It may be time to move on to something else. Too bad though, it had promise.

Sounds like "Luther" and "The Fall" are decent shows. Maybe they will be next.
