If you're asking where is he now in the league he was part of the Gaborik deal and was shipped to NYR. In 9 games since he was acquired by them he has a goal and three assists. Not too shabby considering he had one point in 17 games with Columbus this year lol.
Doesn't seem to be getting a ton of minutes right now but that is also just due to depth in NY.
This is tough but right now my top 10 would look something like:
Morgan Rielly
Jacob Trouba
Nathan Beaulieu
Joe Morrow
Sami Vatanen
Mark Barberio
Matt Dumba
Adam Clendening
Cody Ceci
Matt Donovan
And then I'd toss out a bunch of honourable mentions:
Slater Koekkoek
Torey Krug
Brayden McNabb
Jamie Oleksiak
Alex Petrovic
Ryan Murphy
Ryan Murray
Griffin Reinhart
Brandon Gormley
Oscar Klefbom
Derrick Pouliot
Hampus Lindholm
Now a lot of these guys will slot into that shutdown type of role, which will kill a lot of their fantasy value so I've put more emphasis on smaller D with big offensive upside and defensemen that are a lot closer to making an impact.
Whoa-- metaldude, I have 3 of your top 10 - Rielly, Trouba, and Dumba.
I didn't realize people thought so highly of Trouba
I am a die-hard Avalanche fan!
PARTIAL DYNASTY (Keep 20 from year to year)
2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 2G every night
G ,A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, Hits, Blocks
Wins, Saves, SV%, GAA, SO
C-Eichel, Marner (RW), Matthews
L- Skinner, Pacioretty, Vanek, Perlini, Palat
R- Hoffman, Byron, Tuch, Kerfoot, Sprong
D- Ekblad, Gostisbehere, Rielly, Borowiecki, Montour, Girard, Orpik, Schenn
G-Fleury, Rask, Brossoit, Saros, Kuemper, Appleby
I'm not huge on him but I think he'll make the lineup faster than a lot of other guys and I think his addition to the lineup could push Byfuglien back up to forward more often, which could open up offensive opportunities for everyone on their blueline. And if you have multiple categories then Trouba's going to offer you a well-rounded game but the big reason he's up here is for the immediate impacts he could make.
Dumba is a pure upside pick, I'm actually a lot less excited about him. Rielly is an upside pick too but I'm actually interested in him.
Yes, in my league, multi cats counts. I actually have to drop 7 players on my team before the end of the season - and besides the most apparent choices (Leino,Matthias, Wisniewski, Beauchemin), I'm going to have to drop one or two good D prospects - I also have Barrie and D. Hamilton. I was thinking about dropping Read and/or Hagelin but decided against it because I'm weak on Wing.
Here is how I'd rank my D:
Hamilton
Rielly
Markov
Fraser (+/-, hits and PIM are almost unmatched)
Dumba
Barrie
Beauchemin
Trouba
Wisniewski
Let's just say that I'd have to drop 4 of these guys - I'd drop the bottom 4, but it sounds to me like you'd drop Dumba over Trouba. Any others?
Thread derailed...

Why so high on Lindholm? He doesn't have any numbers to back up his upside. Pouliot deserves some love and I'd take Sproul over Lindholm.
My list:
1. Morgan Rielly
2. Ryan Murray
3. Matt Dumba
4. Derrick Pouliot
5. Cody Ceci
6. Jacob Trouba
7. Joe Morrow
8. Nathan Beaulieu
