So he,ll be in lineup tomorrow?
Game #1 vs LA Kings.
What a fantastic way to kick off the 2013 as the Hawks travel to LA and a rockin' hostile environment as the Kings were given their 2012 Stanley Cup Champion rings, once that ceremony ended so did the last cheers of the day for the LA faithful as the Hawks came out swinging for the fences and a feverous tone to set the game with 3 early goals in the 1st period and that was all they needed, GAME OVER! Quite obvious the LA cup hangover was in full effect. 5-2 Hawks
Hossa had 2 goals, Kane, Toews and Folik also tallied for the Hawks.
Hawks killed off all Kings PK's ( 5 for5) Last year Hawks PK was 27th in the league.
The Hawks defense was tremendous today and Patrick Kane was the best player on the ice overall, he was all over the place, on a mission!
Crawford made 19 saves on 21 shots. .905 sv%. He made all the right saves, one goal was a screen goal ( he had no chance) and the other he got knocked down just before the goal ( kinda flukey )
On a down note, Daniel Carcillo is hurt again ( LBI ) it appeared he was holding his hip. Don't expect it to be his knee again. Quennville did indicate that he is " going to miss some time"
All in all a great great first win of the season for the Hawks on the road vs defending champs! Losing Carcillo for a length of time will hurt depth, but Hawks have plenty of depth.
Very excited after this win!!
That's a shame about Carcillo getting hurt again, I was liking the idea of him on the top line with Toews. Oh well, greath win for the Hawks though, gotta love it when the players who are supposed to score do just that! (Except for Sharpie, but he'll come around)

The Calgary Flames have traded Henrik Karlsson to Chicago for a seventh round pick in the 2013 Draft.
Karlsson lost his job as the backup to Miikka Kiprusoff in Calgary as Leland Irving will now have the honors. The Blackhawks sent Karlsson to the AHL Rockford IceHogs where he will provide insurance to Corey Crawford and Ray Emery. The draft pick was originally the Ottawa Senators which the Blackhawks acquired in an earlier deal.

Damn my Hawks are looking damn good!!!
Hawks start 3-0 on the year.
Hawks controlled this game for 1st and 2nd period, almost fell apart in the 3rd period but held on for the win. Crawford played a great game, made huge key saves to preserve the win, looked in control the whole night. Crawford looks real strong so far to start the season, seems of shaken off the playoff shakes.
Hawks have beaten the Kings, Coyotes, Blues to start the year. All 3 are tough games, nothing easy so far.
How is Kane looking?
GO WINGS!
What a win last night! That pass from Kane to Hossa for the winner was DIRRRRRRTY. Kane is here to play this year, folks.
