I like Wheeler. He can repeat, and in all likelihood he will better his numbers from last year. You're looking at a stud who's just beginning to break out.

I think Callahan will be moved down the depth chart (Nash) while Wheeler will stay on course (but don't know if he can repeat). Hits are big on Callahan's end (271 to Wheeler's 119) but Wheeler's assists are much higher (47 to 28). I have Clutterbuck and E. Kane, Hanzal, Doughty and Gorges to help with hits. Is the move worthwhle?!

If you have hits covered, go with Wheeler.
Had I not know that, I would've said go Callahan.
So I switched it up, getting:
Wheeler + Zajac
for
Callahan + Eric Wellwood
How'd I do?

Good deal, I think Cally for Wheeler would have already been a good choice. If you didn't really majorly need the HITs, to add Zajac on top for basically an AHLer, that's a great deal for you.

You're locked and loaded with HITS as it is, so acquiring Wheeler here is a nice play.
Good move. Plus hits are a category more easily found than higher end offensive ones so I would have likely made that move without the second pieces.
Doesn't matter now but next time you should also mentioned whether it's a H2H or Roto league. For me, player valuation changes in either league depending on your situation and that you are focusing on full season (roto) vs needs to win weekly matchups (h2h).
Fair enough... I should have mentioned that.
It's a h2h league, 12 team.
My current roster (after this move):
C - Crosby, Malkin, Duchene, M. Koivu
LW - Vanek, E. Kane, Tanguay, Anisimov
RW - Wheeler, Okposo, Clutterbuck, Little
D - Doughty, Enstrom, Leddy, Carlson, Larsson, Gorges
G - Pavelec, Lindback, Elliott
BN - Zajac, Hemsky, Hanzal, Grigorenko, Tarasenko
My wingers took a hit, trading Skinner + Perron + Eriksson for Crosby and Tanguay (but worth it in an 8 player keeper in a year where we may be re-drafting anyways).
My current strategy is to put together a competitive team this year, but if I can, trade my depth to add 8 top notch keepers for next year (ex. moving E. Kane + Elliott for a big upgrade in net (talks started)).

Pretty much my thoughts on this deal too. The fact you got Wheeler in a deal who I considered a better option then Cally and then added Zajac who is extremely under-rated by a lot of GMs due to missing so much time last year for basically next to nothing, sweet deal for you!

You got Wheeler/Zajac for Callahan and a nobody...steal for you. I would rather have Wheeler than Callahan for sure.
