    Default Hintz/Barzal REP

So there’s a GM in my league that’s been bugging me for Hintz for a while. The only guy he has that I’d trade Hintz for is Barzal. How would you guys compare the 2? Hintz is having a better year statistically but Barzal is more proven? Is this a trade I should push for? Or do you guys think Hintz is for real? I don’t expect him to be a 90 point guy long term, but I’ve seen nothing from him I don’t like besides his injury days off. Though by next season that shouldn’t be a problem. I really like both guys. Thoughts?

I like Hintz maybe a bit better but I have to admit that's probably recency bias and also a bit of rose coloured glasses because he has helped me out massively this year. I think in truth they are pretty close, and while I might hold Hintz 1-for-1, if he is bugging you I might see what sort of draft compensation I could get kicked in. If I could get a decent kicker that way then I would probably do that deal

As players, Barzal is far and away better than Hintz. The main reason we don't see it is because of the Islanders' defensive system. That being said, for fantasy purposes, if Hintz is allowed to roam free while the shackles are on Barzal then it doesn't matter if Barzal is better. Still, thinking long term, I'd rather place my bets with the more skilled player. I'd deal Hintz for Barzal without hesitation.

I wouldnt trade my Barzal for Hintz. As said above, Barzal would be putting up bigger numbers on a more offensively oriented team.

I find Hintz an interesting player . In the leagues I've been in where theres 12 to 16 teams and a 10 to 20 size farm team he was still laying in the weeds as an available guy I could just snag as a free agent then slap on to my farm team 3-4 years ago . He wasnt this guy being held for those 3-4 years previous on someones farm team .

I would put barzal a lot higher than hintz as the others mentioned. What is the other team manager offering?

So far he’s only offered Heinola and some picks which I’m not interested in.

Ah gotcha!! Well I’m not saying to just go accept his current offer but I would defenitely be looking to move Hintz. I think he comes back down to earth next season and is a 60-65 point player next season

I too consider Hintz to be a sell high. That said, Barzal is to high. If the other guy goes for it, well, congrats, but IMO that's not likely.
