i've been a fan since they started, and i'm on teh fence right now. ya they've let some stars go before, but this time its just different. feels greasy and cheap....and no i dont approve of teh direction.

I don't live anywhere near Ottawa, so I don't know:
Are the local sports talk radio guys such massive homers that they aren't saying anything bad about the Karlsson trade (or Bobby Ryan's contract, or the Hoffman trade, or the Duchene trade, or the Senators keeping their pick this year, etc. etc. etc.)?
Because being happy with the direction the team is headed is some serious InfoWars/Groupthink craziness, that I can only really see happening if the local radio guys are deep in Melnyk's pockets and never saying anything bad about this team.

That poll is a lie. Everyone in this town knows their team is in pretty much the same upheaval as Montreal and both get compared often here. Montreal has it a little better right now, but not by much.

The day of the trade TSN 1200 in Ottawa hosted calls where people complained ... it stayed on air until after 3am.
Shaila Anwar, who co-hosts "That's what she said" announced on the air after the trade that the Senators were dead to her and that she had cancelled her seasons tickets (which she's had since Day 1). I've never heard an announcer rip on a team so hard before, it was something else...
