Trade for Crosby?
Hey Gang, I'm in a long term keeper league with mostly straight up points and an 8 round draft every year. 11 teams get to keep 20 guys for the draft.
I've been asked if i want to trade my Crosby for his Granlund, Goligoski, Kipper and his 8 draft picks. Doesn't seem like enough to me, especially for this year, and right now i'm in 7th out of 11th but only 50 points out of first. Crosby's salary goes up to 12 mil next year!

So the trade is a 2nd line prospect, an underperforming defenseman, and an end of the road goalie for Crosby. Are the 8 draft picks for prospects only or for unkept league players? In the end it probably doesn't matter cause you can't keep all the players coming to you anyway, and whether any of those players are fantasy relevant is another guess.
Bottom line, I can't see how his trade makes your team better unless you're using the picks for a complete rebuild.

Clearly not enough. Your taking on far to much quantity in that deal.
Looking at your teams, you could use some help in goal. I'd be asking for Rinne and something else decent at least. If not him then Giroux+ or Tavares+ would need to be coming to you to even consider moving Crosby.

Never! Why do that trade. Hit decline immediately. When you have the best player in the game (and the best player for the next x years) you must be blown away for a trade.
I would need 2 players like Hall, Giroux, Tavares to even consider moving Sid
not a chance.
