    Default J.Hughes or W.Johnston

I just received an offer for Wyatt Johnston. I would have to give Johnston and a 1st in either 24 or 25 for J. Hughes.

Should i accept? Is there a huge difference in value between Johnston and Hughes? - Hughes started last season on an absolute tear, and i wonder what would have
happened if he hadn´t got the injuries.

Depends how valuable that first is, but yes I'd probably do that. If you could bring the pick down a bit that would make it better, but I would still obviously value Hughes over Johnston despite the latter establishing himself as a true stud this year. I'd do that deal as is, but they must value Johnston pretty greatly so there could be wiggle room on the pick you give up.

Yes, I would do this deal unless the 1st has a rather strong chance of being the #1 overall. It is right to worry about Hughes' health, but he's a guaranteed 100 point player if he plays 75 games.

What's the scoring? Positions? Is it a cap league? I can see the argument where a wing eligible Wyatt Johnston with one more cheap year and then potentially lower contract is equal value or close as C only Jack Hughes. Points only I would probably accept but I'd prefer a second over a first.

Wow. Well, yeah - definitely Jack Hughes (NJD).
    I'd pay Wyatt + any 1st in 2024 that isn't the #1 (Celebrini).

Just make sure it's not Jack Hughes (LA), LOL.

Jack Hughes tracks to be the next MacKinnon, but I'd argue with a higher ceiling. Hughes averaged over 1.25 points per game while firing over 4.3 SOG per game in his age 21 season. Other centers who have met both criteria at that age or younger in the history of the NHL? Just one.....some guy named Wayne Gretzky. Accept and rejoice.

I’d smash accept here. I don’t think it’s very close either. Hughes is a superstar.
