As long as he's on line 1, he should be owned in all HIT leagues.
The key thing is that he's logging minutes... 19:33/gp. He logged just 16min/gp in past years.
(Note that LA has a new coach, which means new opportunity)
I am in a league that counts hits and blocks, and Brown goes out throwing the body around with incredible durability over the past few seasons. I know he has dropped off in production in the major stat categories but has looked good to start the season. Do you think he can have a bounce back in points production or is his ceiling fairly low?

And a cushty number next to Kopitar right now...
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Pretty sure Peng meant "New" opportunity ... and I agree.
However, I foresee an eventual market correction eventually. We've seen Brown's spots.
Fair enough. I picked him up and dropped Dumba as my 5th D. If he logs big minutes and can satisfy the hits category to go along with 40-50 points (hopeful) I think he's a good acquisition.

If nothing more, you ride the current waive which has been more productive than Dumba to date.
Just remember from an offensive perspective, it's early and he's scored his 5 points across 2 of 3 games while be blanked in the 3rd. What's more likely.. 2 or 3 points / game or zero. But yes, he will continue to play the physical game for you so enjoy that aspect.
Would you drop a Labanc for Dustin Brown for the year?
Cheers!

Yes, I feel I need to find a few Ryan Kesler-type players available. This year Kesler is already stashed in someone else's IR.
Labanc was an option to drop. You reckon there are others on my lineup I should consider dropping to accommodate Brown? I plan to just roll with the lineup for the next weeks or months. Thanks for your insight!
Cheers!

Yes, he is playing the kind of minutes he was getting when he was a stallion. He really looks great out there. Faster, more physical, going hard to the net and not taking the mid-range, low-percentage shots he was increasingly relying on. In multi-cat or roto, if you have a spot and dont have to drop anyone big, its worth a throw.
Added a PP goal tonight. Glad I added him when I did - if he's a 45 point player hes veeeeery valuable in my league.
