Wait to see if WAS starts Neuvirth on Thurs and see how Harding does next game first.
I have Howard and Lehtonen as my two dependable boys in net. While these two should win me SV% and GAA categories, I'm looking to pick up a third to contend with teams in my league playing three goalies. I'll be very selective when it comes to starting my third.
My thoughts:
Neuvirth - Could steal some starts in WAS if Holtby struggles. He relieved Holtby against CGY for the only Caps win (1-2-0, last in the Metropolitan).
Harding - Backstrom out, Harding in. MIN isn't all that great of a team. They're currently 0-1-2 and sitting last in the Central.
Stand pat - Howard and Lehtonen is enough. Three is a crowd and I could just roll with my dependable backstops.
What are your thoughts?

Are there any restrictions on bringing players up?
And would you have to drop someone to do this (if so, who?)
Very difficult to answer this...

Based on your league format (which I presume you just added to your signature), I would probably stand put.
You have decent young forwards that you'll want to keep, and the goalies on the wire are nothing special. Holtby had a terrible October last year as well, but he dominated the rest of the year. Despite losing to the Stars, he was good in his last outing - I don't think Neuvirth will see enough starts to justify dropping one of your young guys in a keeper.
Looks like I have no choice to grab either Harding (MIN), Ellis (DAL) or Neuvirth (WAS) off the wire since Lehtonen (DAL) went down last night.
All three play tonight. Harding and Ellis actually play each other.
So everything I said in my OP still apply except Harding got MIN a win, Neuvirth got WAS a win, and Ellis will get all starts since he's taking over for Lehtonen.
Which team has the best chances to win? Who has the best shot of stealing the starter role?

Not sure how long Lehtonen's out, but in terms of having a short-term sub-in goalie Ellis looks like a good bet.
Neuvirth is getting the start tonight, but if he shits the bed I'm sure they'll go right back to Holtby as his play has been steadily improving despite his winless record.
Is there any limit on the amount of add/drops you can do? Weekly or daily lineups?
