    Hey guys,

Trying to decide on who to trade for.
Rankem top to bottom best to least best and provide reasons please. The idea is I could own them for max 3 years unless one of them becomes better than Crosby,Tavares,Karlsson,Stamkos.

I am more desperate for wingers then I am Center (TY Jo,Monohan)

    Gaudreau

Gaudreau (Like Calgarys PP, solid team and upside)
Forsberg (If he can improve on his 2nd half numbers, he could improve from last years totals)
Stone (Young winger with solid upside, little competition)
Johnson (Would be higher if you wanted C.. A slight regression could also be in order)
Monahan (Love the upside, but when does Bennett start to cut into his offensive minutes?)
    Kuznetsoz
    Toffoli
    16 Team H2H Full Keeper: G, A, Pts, +/-, PIM, SOG, STP, H+B, FW, GAA, SV%, W, SV, SO
    Start: 4c, 4lw, 4rw, 6d, 2g, 8 bench

    Center: Eichel, Scheifele, Nelson, Pirri
Left Wing: Huberdeau, Hoffman (C/LW), Maroon, Soderberg (C/LW)
Right Wing: Kessel, Little (C/RW), Nyquist (C/RW), Zucarrello (LW/RW)
Defense: Karlsson, Carlson, Savard, Stone, Petry, McNabb
    Goalie: Bishop, Anderson, Raanta
Bench: Lander, JT Miller, Eakin, Gerbe (C/LW), Dorsett, Jurco, Coyle (C/RW)

Farm: Gormley, S. Morin, Paquette, Weal, Poirier, Vesey, Goldobin, Fiala, Sprong, Copp, Griffith, Stolarz (G), Visentin (G), Bibeau (G), S. Williams (G)

I see in your post that you're deciding who to trade for, so not only does their future performance matter, but so too does their present cost to obtain.

The guys who I think will outperform what they cost to obtain via trade are Toffoli and Monahan. All the rest will likely be looked upon as major assets by whomever owns them in your league, and thus they'll be very expensive to obtain. The one guy I'd definitely avoid is Stone, as rookies who post 60+ points at age 22 have a very poor track record of long term performance, with the best in the last 10 years being the not so venerable Brad Boyes.

Shouldn't be a problem...I"m offering up MALKIN. Mark Stone I own. If Stone and your rookie comment, does it apply to Gaudreau as well? I'm leaning towards gaudreau. I think Ty Johnson is the best of this bunch for pts next year but he's C and I already have Kuch and Stam. Trying to move stam for seguin but no dice yet. Are Gaudreau and Forsberg safer bets than Stone? I'm a huge Stone fan and would love to be able to keep him but can't justify keeping ahead of the 4 that I have for my bottom 4....Byfuglien, Dubnyk, Kucherov and whoever I trade Malkin for. Hope this wasn't too confusing!

Ty Johnson-easily top of the group, 75+ points
Monohan- will be top of this list in 2 years 70-75 points
Forsberg- solid first season and best is yet to come. 65 points
Gaudreau-slight regression but a future star. 55-65 points
    M. Stone- tough one. Could out produce all but not 100% convinced. 55-60 points
Toffoli- breakout year. Will replace Williams in top 6. 55-60 points
Kuznetzov- he will be drafted way too early after a good playoff run. 45-50 points.

    Great list.

Basing my rankings on proven talent and the value your league puts on goals:

Johnson (proven player in great situation)

Monahan (consistent 16% shooting percentage makes him best of the group)
Gaudreau (slight edge over Forsberg and Stone based on his collegiate goalscoring)
Forsberg (just behind Gaudreau because his s% seems to hover around 11%).

Stone (high s% as a rookie has me skeptical his numbers can be repeated- but his ahl numbers were also great).

Toffoli (career 10% shooter so far, well back in assists as well)
Kutznetsov (haven't seen the consistency yet).

Yes - Gaudreau and Kucherov are safer bets, as Gaudreau posted his rookie total at age 21, not 22. While it might seem like one year shouldn't make a big difference, but in the last ten seasons it has.

I compared Kucherov to Stone in a recent cage match - here's a link: http://www.dobberhockey.com/hockey-h...ch-tournament/

Just for the record this is how I ranked them going forward for 3 years:

TJ (I'm hoping he's a 70-75 max but Gaudreau and Mono could hit 85 in 3 years)
    Stone (smart scorer)
    Monohan
    Gaudreau (the most skill)
    Kuznets (good spot)
Forsberg (he could finish 3rd in this group but got to guess)
    Toffoli
Contract Fantrax 14 teams, 8 keepers. 4 max lifers +/-
    3C, 3LW, 3RW, 1F. 5D,2G....5Reserves.
