Tom Wilson vs Henrik Samuelsson

Who has the higher ceiling, in your view, in a league (NOT in sig) that counts hits (0.1), blocked shots (0.2) and that rewards PP points (0.5)? Important : the league also penalizes PIM (-0.2 per penalty minute!).

Who would you go with, with a, say, 2-3 years window?

Getting penalized for PIMs basically makes Tom Wilson a free agent in my opinion.

I just wonder if Samuelsson will have a decent shot a playing top 6 in the future, with all the prospects at C (Domi, Strome, Dauphin)...

I'd go with Samuelsson out of these two but there's a good chance that he turns out to be underwhelming in this format as well.

I was going with Samuelsson before I read the fact that PIMs were penalized.

Since you get negative points for PIM then I say Samuelsson and Even with all the prospect centers they have Samuelsson will be fine because he can play wing also.

I voted for Wilson but my lazy butt missed the part about penalties being a negative. With that, a slight edge to samuelsson

2-3 years, there is lots of opportunity for Samulesson to crack the top 6 and play with some other talented young players.

Yep as all have said - Henrik primarily because Wilson becomes almost a non-factor with PIM's being a negative.

In reality, you could substitute almost anyone for Henrik and he'll likely be a better option than Wilson, whose bread and butter (hits) will consistently be mitigated by a -0.2 hit for every penalty minute.
