Welcome to the Summer 2015 Cage Match Tournament. This time you’ll be voting to determine the player who’ll see his Yahoo draft position rise or fall by the most as compared to his 2014-15 Yahoo average. In round one of the tourney there will be separate brackets for each of risers and fallers for centers, wingers, and defensemen – for a total of six brackets.
This bracket is for rising wingers.
Each player is listed above with his average 2014-15 Yahoo Fantasy Hockey draft position in parentheses. Thus, for the risers brackets, you’re voting for the one player whose draft position will improve the most versus 2014-15. For the fallers, it’s whose draft position will drop by the most.
The “rules” will all be summarized in my Cage Match column that will be live in the morning of Wednesday July 8th. But for now, the most important thing to keep in mind is you should base your voting on a hypothetical one year league with G, A, +/-, Hits, PPP and SOG as equally weighted categories.
Have fun voting, and be sure to come back and vote in the upcoming rounds to ensure your voice is heard!
Top 3 - Tarasenko, Kucherov, Schwartz.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
It's gotta be Tarasenko.
Agree with slug. Tank started lower than Kucherov and I expect him to end up with the best average draft ranking of that list.

with the contract announcement and the moves by the Blues to free up the space to lock him up it seems a no brainer to go with Vladimir
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
Tank will be very high this year. Probably just outside the established elite 10 or so forwards. Maybe even higher knowing Yahoo.

Love Kuch but rather easy vote for Tank
Tarasenko... easy!
Goodness...Tarasenko was 159 avg? Yeah...not anymore!
what was Stone's average?
General curiosity, Rick (or anyone), do you know if these averages are for every league that was created? That is, if a league was created after the season started, and may have accounted for those with hot/cold starts, breakouts etc. Not sure how much of a difference it would make, though. Perhaps leagues could've been created a couple months in, which would inflate the average draft position for guys like Kucherov, as I wouldn't have expected him to be drafted higher than Tarasenko at the beginning of the season.
