Another case of scum bags scamming investors, including ex-NHL'ers. Madoff comes to mind first and foremost. Eventually, you get caught.

My thought is that the guys who get caught are the ones who can't help themselves and continue to scam. It's not even about the money at some point or that no amount of money is ever enough. It's about getting one over on people. It becomes their drug. I'd venture that the people who do it once and stop right there never get caught and we never hear about it. Whether those exist or not, who knows.

I'd have to agree. These guys don't know when to quit. It is a drug.

I seen a episode on a magazine show a couple of years ago and a guy actually took his mother's life savings of about $100,000. How despicable! She went to his sentencing and asked the judge to give him the max to teach him a lesson.

People will do weird things when given money, and then there’s people who do not settle. Working with guys like Peca, they must have been good at something prior to getting to the players. Something on their resume must have been good. Instead of settling with their normal paycheck of prolly $100,000s, they say the millions and just wanted that.
