    Beauty list.
To be a finicky old bastard... I'd sort them by teams (A-Z).
    That's just my preference, visually.

    ARI-Antoine Vermette
    ...
    ...
    WPG-Alexander Burmistrov

I noticed this when I was over on the prospect list last week.
Prospects should be sorted by last name, if undrafted.
Drafted prospects should be sorted by team, my 2 cents.

Most internet hockey readers gravitate towards seeing their teams magical three-letter name...

Wish it were that simple, but alas...not with the time and tools at my disposal. Sometimes the easiest things aren't so

And player lists on the prospects site, you can sort by name but has to be first name. Doesn't differentiate last name. Maybe relaunch will make that part easier, but I doubt it - treats names as article titles.

It goes without saying but this is a lot of content distributed in a short amount of time. Amazing!

In your write up about the Kessel trade you feel that Kessel will be playing with Crosby. I think you should do an evaluation based on Kessel playing with Malkin on the 2nd line.

Based on everything I've heard (Pens writers, people who have talked to the Pens coach) Kessel was acquired to play the "James Neal" role on Malkin's wing and that Crosby has great chemistry with Hornqvist and that pairing will not be touched.

A member of the Pens organization was being interviewed today and said Crosby and Hornqvist are the perfect fit because they both play a "straight-to-the-net" style and will absolutely continue to be a duo next season moving forward. They also said that Malkin loves to swirl and create and was at his best with a player like Neal who loves to find holes and use his shot. The Pens feel Kessel is this exact type of player. He practically guaranteed that the lines would be...

    Kunitz-Crosby-Hornqvist
    *Plotnikov-Malkin-Kessel

*He said that Plotnikov was signed intentionally to play on Malkin's LW.

I'd be curious to see how you feel the Pens players will shakeout with the above line combos.
    8-GM / WK-H2H
    Forwards: G=2, A=1, PP/SH= +1, GWG= +2, Shootout G=1, HT= +1
    D-Men/Captain: G=3/A=2
    Goalies: W=3, OTL=1, SO= +2, SV= .10

    Start = 13F, 6D, 2G / Keep 44 (3G)
    Captain: Matthews
(F): MacKinnon, Pasta, Marner, Rantanen, Malkin, Barkov, M.Tkachuk, W.Nylander, Pettersson, Gaudreau, Laine, Keller, Miller, B.Tkachuk, Stutzle, DeBrincat, L.Raymond, K.Johnson, Cozens, Quinn, Guenther, Kulich, Cooley
(D): Makar, Dahlin, Q.Hughes, Ekblad, Rielly, Werenski, Letang, Jones, Chychrun,
Seider, Edvinsson, Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, Ceulemans, Hutson
    (G): Shesterkin, Demko, Vejmelka

This is actually a more likely scenario, after some thought and reflection. I've started work on the Guide now, and as I go through each team I will present an offseason breakdown here on the site (like I did with THN for 12 years), so I'll come back to this when I get to Pittsburgh

Perron relegated to the 3rd line with Sutter certainly would suck for his value.

It will be him or Kunitz...I have a feeling that one of them will lock up the big spot in training camp...and then lose it to the other guy by Game 10...who will in turn lose it back to the first guy by midseason. It could be one of those years, folks...

Today's coaching trends indicate that the changes might be even more frequent than that...
