Toews + VS Schneids

So I have an owner in my league who is pressing hard for Schneider and its getting to the point where I feel I need to seriously consider.

This is a 12 team H2H dynasty, setup as follows:

H2H League - 21 Roster Spots

Plus a 10 player farm

Stats are:

Goals, Assists, PPP, GWG, HITS, PIM, BLKS, WINS, GAA, SV%,
Saves, SO

Latest offer is his Toews + Myers + 9th overall for Schneids

I'm in a win now, and my 3 goalies are Schneids/Holtby/Varly

What are your thoughts?

How big of an upgrade would Toews be over your current Cs? I don't mind the deal because you have 3 solid tenders. Would probably try to push a Varly counter offer before moving Schneider though.

If FOW was in play... I'd say maybe on Toews.
With a 7/5 category split though, that's a whole lot of weight for goalies... and with Saves in play, having a trio of #1s is boss.
If one of those guys goes down, you are still in good shape.
If all three are healthy, heck, you can make this trade next March for your stretch run.

I see no reason how making this trade (for Toews) helps you now.

Technically it only really saves me the "r", since I went ahead and added an "s" to make it sound better. I do love me some Schneids!

This is my thinking though, I feel like face value this is a good offer, but my league settings and my team makes it harder to swing. Thanks for the advice.

Looking at your C, D and G I'd say in a 12 team league with your settings Schneider will be more valuable than the potential incoming package.

After seeing your roster I don't see the need to move out a goalie, your team is solid all around and having the 3 goalies is nice insurance in the event of injuries. As Pen7 pointed out not having FOW really hurts Toews overall value.

Schneids might be the best goalie on your team with the saves cat! He'll get a ton of starts and take a lot of shots

As the others have stated, after seeing your LOADED roster, I'm not making this move. As Peng noted, there could be a time towards the end of the year where a deal like this makes sense, but I just don't see enough weakness being addressed (because there isn't really any) to deal one of your greatest strengths.

As much as I like Toews, I would stand pat here - having 3 awesome tenders in your format is a huge plus.
