Which Finnish center would you prefer in the short-term (1-2 years)? Focus on G, A, P, PPP, PIM.

That Florida team will just keep getting better. Barkov also has the size and skill to be a #1. Granlund seems a little small.

Third vote for Barkov. He isn't quite as lost in the shuffle of well paid forwards as Granlund is in Minny.

Barkov finished very strong to close out the season. I really like his upside better than Granlund's upside. I like Barkov to be more of a finisher and Granlund more of a playmaker. Both should be rather similiar with PIM but give Barkov the edge to overall points.

Barkov showed a lot the last 20 games of the season, I'm a big believer in him. Sign me up for Barkov

I'm a big believer in Barkov, last 20 games:

7g 8A 49 SOG 14% Shooting Percentage 3 PPP 1 SHP

His TOI was 18:40ish those last 20, if he can repeat that he can topple that 60 pt mark.

I think Barkov takes Gs, PIMs and Granner takes As. I actually think Pts and PPP will be fairly close... but I'll give a slight edge in Pts to Barkov (feel like the Cats at full development will score more than Minny) and PPP edge to Granner (he's filthy with that time and space).

I'd take Barkov as well - had some real nice chemistry with Jagr and Huberdeau - and I think his upside is better than Granlund's. Only thing that concerns me are his injuries, but Granlund misses time as well.

My vote is for Granlund. Granlund already has the first line center job as he plays with the best wingers on the team. Koivu is his only competition for ice time with no one on the farm close to challenging either of them. Barkov has Bjugstad and Trocheck as challengers for the #1 center position.

Believe it or not, Mikko Koivu is still the top center on Minny. He gets more ice time each game and more shifts per game than Granlund.

That being said, I still want Barkov.
