Default Eichel for Rask or MAF

I have the 2nd pick overall in my draft (Just missed out on McDavid). However I have a pretty solid forward group so I'm just wondering whether I should use the pick to upgrade my goalie?

So I'm just wondering whether I trade Schneider and my 2nd overall pick for either Rask or MAF.

So is this an offer that is pending for you to accept, or just one you are thinking of offering?

Personally, I don't mind the offer when we consider your league setup.

I'd probably want Rask only because he will get you more wins than Schneider and more saves then both Schneider and Fleury. I don't expect Fleury to get 10 shutouts most years.

Personally if it's me, I'd try and offer Schneider and the 2nd overall and try and get one of those two goalies and a pick coming back (even a 2nd or 3rd round pick) instead of just getting the goalie.

You upgrade goalies and downgrade picks. Win/win for both squads!

    Tks for your reply.

It's an offer I'm thinking to toss out there.

Looks like you have a fairly young team... I would keep Eichel and build around him, mackinnon, hedman and backstrom. You could be contending for the championship in a couple years.
10 team pts-only keeper league - keep 10 plus 10 from past/present farm. No bench: entire active roster counts. Goalies: 2 pts/win + 3/shutout. 82 adds / year. NHL playoffs count for separate prize.

    F: J Eichel, M Tkachuk, J Guentzel, E Pettersson, P Laine, R Thomas, C Kreider, M Boldy, J Kyrou, M Backlund, F Vatrano, N Niederreiter, R Rakell, M Marchment, M Domi
    D: A Fox, S Theodore, R Andersson, B Montour, S Durzi, D Keith
    G: F Andersen, S Knight, J Swayman
    IR: J Hughes, M Stone, M Grzelcyk, S Perunovich
    Farm: L Raymond, O Wahlstrom, S Skinner, C Addison, Y Chinakhov, J Perreault

I dont think that Rask is an "Eichel" amount better than Schneider.

I think I'd hang onto that pick too. If not for all the McDavid hype, we'd be hearing about what a possible franchise player Eichel would be. Plus the only category Schneider doesn't really get you is wins.

Agreed. I think people are underrating Eichel because he lives in McDavid's shadow. I see that you are in a limited keepers which means youll have to overpay compared to most other formats, but I feel you are selling low on Eichel - he will be worth way more than this in a year or two. He's worth finding room for.

    This.

Schnieder is a solid performer in this league, especially with SV being a category. No chance the difference between him and Rask is Eichel. Easily keep what you have.

Also agree. The difference from Rask to Schneider does not account for the price of Eichel (At least from my prognostication)

This is my thought as well, especially with the hype machine in overdrive for this seasons prospects.

If it was just Eichel for Rask I'd do it, but Schneider isn't chopped liver - I'd keep what you have.
