pretty good starting offer. i would ask for a bit more since i think karlsson is worth a bit more. i would try to get an anchor LW if possible though, youre quite a bit weaker on that wing.
Currently have an offer of Patrick Kane straight up for my Erik Karlsson. I currently have 9 solid D-men but we only start 6. Karlsson contributes the fewest hits/blocks, so I think this would make a lot of sense. Am I way off base here? Team/league info below:

One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
In a start 6 D, I take Karlsson all the way.

There are more Kanes out there than there are Karlssons. Ask for more, or else it's not a deal in my opinion.
No way I make that trade. Karlsson is the Sidney Crosby of d-men.

yes karllson doesnt hit or block as much as people would like, but he is elite in SOG, PPP, Points ( G,A)
Karllson's shot totals are elite in general, let alone among d-men

Karlsson is hitting in the playoffs...maybe it translates into regular season!
He had 93 hits this regular season. Not exactly Byfuglien territory, but he's no slouch. It puts him ahead of guys like McDonagh and Kronwall, and only 4 behind a guy like Subban.

I like Karlsson. And as tobias said, Kane has more peers than Karlsson. Also, Kane doesn't block or hit too much either. But when you have someone like Karlsson who is unmatched in his ability to generate points and shots by Dmen, you keep him.

While I think it's time you move a defensemen (you have a great selection, but too many for my liking), Karlsson is not the one I'd be looking to move.
Kane is a nice asset, but not necessarily the asset your team is needing right now. A left winger would be my target. I would at the other teams' rosters to find one that is strong on LW and weak on D. Or, you could see if this GM would be willing to move a LW and Kane for Karlsson or a LW for another defensemen.
