Hanifin = Bouwmeester ??

I feel like drafting all F's with my 7 top picks this year . Is this crazy or should I get one or two of the top 3 D?
Not sure I have the patience to wait .

I'm thinking McDavid,Eichel,Marner,Strome,Barzal,Zacha,Rantanen .

In fantasy hockey, I think Hanifin is in the same tier with Barzal, Zacha and Rantanen. If you have doubts about Hanifin, there's nothing wrong with taking those forwards ahead of him.

I think it depends on the league you are in - if forwards demand top returns then I'd draft 7 forwards if top d men net a return then I'd spread it out a bit more

Hanifin has better offensive skills than J-Bo. Pietrangelo is a better comparison if things go right.

I think he's a great skater with excellent positionning which is great in real life . Being known for playing a sound,safe game , maybe not so much (except that you get the icetime) . Karlsson takes tons of chances ....

I might swap Crouse for Rantanen on your list, but otherwise it looks perfect to me. Barzal and Zacha are the top guys after Marner imo, and after that it's pretty wide open between Crouse/Rantanen and guys like Connor, Konecny, Meier, etc.

It's a mistake to compare Hanifin to Bouwmeester. Hanifin is not flashy but he is an effective offensive defenseman.

Hanifin is roughly on par with Jones and Ekblad as a prospect. Does that have value?

With 7 picks, I would like to get a defender in there somewhere for balance sake. At the very least, Hanifin should be a better fantasy option than Rantanen.

Alright, good feedback guys . Thank you !!! The Bouwmeester thing was mainly the skating part . Both were great skaters as prospects .
I'm pretty set on my top 6 . I may flip a Rantanen for a Hanifin . I'm also not enthused about the NJ pick . I never owned a devil (probably because I cursed them so much in the 90's ) . We'll see :-)

Right now I own picks 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 13 in my dynasty league: G, A, P, PIM, PPP, SOG, FW, Hit+Blk

My plan right now is to select Eichel, Strome, Barzal, Hanifin, then select whoever is left between Zacha/Crouse/Rantanen at the 9 hole, and then hopefully snag Konecny at 13 -- if not, I've already decided to reach on Jeremy Bracco. Kid is a stud.
