Default To trade Voracek, That is the question....?

    Hey Guys,

Need some expertise on these 2 trade offers:

Here is some info; I am in a points only keeper league where you go head to head weekly. There are 16 teams in the pool where you protect 12 players and 4 farm spots before the season starts. Once again, points only.

Also, the previous owner left me with 0 1st round picks in 2015 and 2016.

I just took over this team; it's pretty much a rebuild type team; the only high end assets it has is MacKinnon and Voracek. I am not trading MacKinnon I have decided; hes too good of a player. So that leaves me with Voracek to move or not to move?

    This is my current team:

    MacKinnon
    Voracek
    Marleau
    Zuccarrelo
    Desharnais
    Kadri

    Vatanen
    Del Zotto
    Derek Pulliott
    Chara
    Garrisson

    Quick
    Mason

You can have 4 players on your farm team:

    Pulock
    Petan
    Ho-Sang
    Wennberg.

Here are the 2 Trade offers I got for Voracek:

    Trade #1

    1st 2015 (Around 7-8th overall)
    Nail Yakupov
    Mikael Granlund
    Ryan Murry

    for

    Voracek
    Marleau
    Del Zotto
    6th Round Pick in 2016

    Trade #2

    Brendan Gallagher
    Chris Kreider
    Mika Zibanejad
    Jori Lehtera
1st Rounder in 2015 (Around 14th pick overall)
2nd Rounder in 2016 (Honey Badgers)

    For

    Jakob Voracek
    Nazem Kadri
    4th Rounder in 2016 (Riot)

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK IS BEST FOR MY SQUAD - TRADE 1 OR TRADE 2 ... OR NO TRADE AT ALL?

Of the two options, there is no doubt in my mind that I like the first option better (trade 2, to me, looks like a bunch of spare parts for the most part).

With McDavid going to Edmonton now, you have to believe that that will definitely boost Yakupov's production. You have some good prospects too, to adding Granlund and Yakupov to the mix is pretty nice. I think Murray can put up 40 points next year.

Yeah, I think because you have realized and admitted to yourself that you're in a rebuild, I'd probably roll the dice on this. I'd first let the other nine GMs know that Voracek is on the market because accepted that trade, though.

id keep shopping. you are trying to consolidate top end talent in limited keepers, and i just don't see either of those trades pulling you ahead in the short term.

try to get another star forward + more for voracek. don't settle for a package. voracek overreached this season, so it's definitely the time to sell-high, but only for the right price.

I wouldn't be taking either of those deals.

Voracek is good. You can get a better package than those that were offered to you.

I kinda like trade number one, but I wouldn't go anywhere near trade two. I'd be trying to trade Chara and Marleau right now. You have some good pieces there. Goaltending is solid. Forwards aint too shabby and your defence could be worse. Its a good project, but I dont think you are too bad off. Pity you dont have any draft picks.

Voracek is the best player in both deals, it's not enough for me to pull the trigger!!

Pass on both. Too many question marks in both offers... I think Yak could see a boost next year but Granlund and Murray both have injury issues especially Murray. The other offer just isn't high-end enough... Being a points only you're losing out on Gallagher, Kreider, and Z's best attributes... Their multi-cats.

I wouldn't do either Voracek almost won the Art Ross on a bad team. He's a good one. Make him part of your rebuild unless you get offered a package with multiple blue-chip talents.

Whereas I'd move Mac as dont think his potential hits the points that people expect next year
