My Own Horror Story is Happening Right Now

I had Namestnikov on my bench and Bailey on my pro. I made this roster decision on Saturday with the idea that if Namestnikov did not get sent down, then I would swap him in. Rosters are weekly.

I didn't get there in time today - just after seven.

So then I just hoped that maybe Bailey would have a good week and Namestnikov would not.

Nope. Three points, first star.


I had a huge night too. Now I'm 10 points out of first. Could have been seven.


This is my Forecaster keeper league and I'm trying to four-peat. Brutal brutal rookie - no...LAZY - mistake. LAZY. I know things are hectic for me, very hectic between 2:30 and 7:30 with the kids. But I could have found two minutes to do this I just needed to remember it. Once I heard Johnson was hurt, that was the kick in the pants I needed. That was my reminder. And I blew it.

I probably made that mistake five or 10 times this year (I've been really good). But to do it with 10 days left and 10 points back - that's when there's no excuse!

Nothing in fantasy hockey pisses me off more than losing in the preparation stages. When the puck drops anything can happen but it eats away at me whenever I don't set myself up properly. I feel your pain!
