Wherever I Wind Up is a really good one; but that's baseball, R.A. Dickey. Can't say I know of any other hockey autobiographies.

The Glory Years: Memories of a Decade, 1955-1965 by former Leaf Billy Harris, published 1989.
My favourite part of the book is the Stanley Cup winning roster of each Leaf cup winning team, which in my estimate will remain the status quo into perpetuity.

The guy reviews hockey books of all types. But you can search by year and look at the more recent ones. It's a pretty good list.

I think Angus posted a long list a year or two ago around Christmas time, but it was on the front page and not sure how to best find it.

Jeremy Roenick's book was pretty good. So was Patrick Roy's from a few years ago (written by his father).

But the best hockey book I ever read was Derek Sanderson's autobiography. He went from a third-line Bruins player, to being the highest paid athlete in the world thanks to the WHA, to broke and homeless before turning his life around. A lot of great stories in there.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Autobiography = written by the person (at least to some degree)
Biography = written by someone else who studied the person

    The difference is important.

    99 is a biography.

Gretzy's only autobiography was back in 1990: "Gretzky - an autobiography" although after reading it, I'd bet Gretzky himself actually wrote a relatively small portion of that book.

Clint Malarchuk's recent effort talked not only about his hockey career, "The Injury" (you know what I am talking about), but also his battle with depression, OCD and anxiety. It is called "The Crazy Game".

Ya I should have noted that in my list..Although he did have some quotes in the book it was written by Al Strachan.

I also have The Instigator about Gary Bettman who also had some personal input in the book but it was written by some body else.

The Clint Malarchuk book looks good too as does Ken Dryden book. I ordered Jordin Tootoos book the other day.

I concur. This book was physically and emotionally exhausting. Amazing read. One of the Toughest SOB in hockey (and psychologically challenged. Very raw. I actually still fear for Clints future.

Just starting Aggasi's book and have Tootoo's queued aswell.

Val James, the first black U.S.-born player to play in the NHL, has released an autobiography. He played just a handful of games. Here's a New York Times story about him and the book.
