You are losing a lot of potential power play points which count heavily in your league, but otherwise their numbers are surprisingly similar. Long term it is a no-brainer to make this deal, but if you are challenging this year it may not be the right move.

Steen for me. I'm just not a Strome guy. If challenging this year, as some have said, I'd be rolling with the Blue guy.

I'm also inclined to say that Steen provides more value than he gets credit for.
That being said, if you're not contending this season, I would go for Strome.
His upside is very intriguing on this Islanders squad... he was supposed to start the season in the minors and all he did was to make his way up the line-up.
He's now getting opportunities on the 1st PP and clicking very well on the 2nd line. A great prospect to own imo.

I dont see a need to add a prospect to your team which is ridiculously stacked. Steen is guaranteed production. Having said that, you are probably so far ahead of the rest of the pack that you could afford to drop Steen and it wouldn't hurt. You dont have to ask questions in this forum. Based on the team in your sig, you are some sort of fantasy hockey jedi.

Maybe try and trade Steen for a goalie instead?

Anyway, Steen over Strome for me. I think Steen is so underrated on these forums and I think Strome is pretty overrated.

I finally traded Strome for Okposo, and then went to reacquire him for Steen.
So Steen = Okposo + Strome
