    Default Sit or start Rask?

So it's down to the wire with the G cats this week for me.

The match up looks like this:

    Me: 2W, 1.27 GAA, .949 SV%, 1 SHO
    Opponent: 2W, 1.67 GAA, .932 SV%, 0 SHO

We've both had 4 starts total, so are okay with our minimum requirement.

Today, opponent GM has Crawford playing vs. Toronto.
If I want to, I can start Rask vs. Buffalo.

I'm thinking of sitting him, but could be screwed if Crawford gets a shutout/only 1 goal in. What do you guys think?

rask has been subpar this season. But I would start him with confidence against buffalo.

I mean, if he can't beat buffalo with decent numbers we are in big trouble as rask owners.

and moulson is not playing for buffalo who together with ennis and girgunson (spelling) the only offensive weapons buffalo has had all year.

I would sit him. Chances are Rask won't produce better then the numbers you already have. I don't think Crawford is even starting in Chicago as he played last night, could be Raanta. Just made a thread about it actually. Either way Toronto has been hot, so I would sit Rask regardless

Raanta confirmed to start. Pretty obvious to sit Rask now

I would have started Rask had Crawford been going - Sabres on the backside of a B2B are likely to get steamrolled. I think Myers is likely out as well.

man oh man, fluked out on the win, but Rask has not been fantastic this year.

just wish he would gain his damnest form.

Iginla couldn't make THIS much a difference for Boston right? Or Boychuk...

no, i dont think iginla and boychuk directly made that big a difference. bruins were rolling and rode it through the entire season, their pdo was one of the highest in the league. this season, theyve been inconsistent and chara was out for a significant portion of the season. theyll find their groove sooner or later but expecting rask to put up numbers like last year is unlikely but i forsee a big second half from them even with their cap troubles. next season shouldnt be as bad as this season as well.

    Yeah, got incredibly lucky.

I think the bruins have just been a little bit of a mess lately. They lost Boychuk who was great for them in D, and Iggy, who was one of the players that clicked and could put up points. Apart from that, the injuries to some of their core players haven't helped much. I'm hoping as the season progresses that they start to click again, and Rask's numbers improve along with the team.

As a Rask Owner I like to live in the delusional world that every team gets injuries, and Boston is just getting theirs out of the way now. I think like 75% of Rask owners have made enough adjustments that they’re staying afloat even with his production. So when he comes around it’ll be smooth sailing till the playoffs
