I would say your team got better moving forward... you added a couple of solid pieces and still have lots of options to choose from.
In a ten team keeper league, yahoo points-based, I just pulled out a pair of trades.
First I moved Toews for Byfuglien and Taylor Hall a week and a half ago. I think I did alright there especially with the hopeful market correction come for Big Buff.
Then today I pulled the trigger on a deal that landed me Brent Burns and Tyler Johnson for Gabriel Landeskog, Frans Nielsen and Boone Jenner. I think I'm giving up a bit more than I should have, but it allows me to activate Parise and Hall off the IR with only having to choose whether to drop Charlie Coyle, Derrick Brassard or PA Parenteau.
So did I get trade-raped today or is my team better moving forward?

you actually came out on top on the first trade quite a bit. Actually a lot. Toews fantasy wise isn't exactly a stud. Hall has the potential to be special. As for the second trade I like Landeskog the most out of all players, but you got two really good players and still probably came out on top. Jenner and Nielsen are so meh. Good job.

I really like both moves. Getting Hall was a steal, despite Toews' boost in value with FW as a stat. And I think your #2 and #3 assets (Jenner or Nielsen) are kinda peanuts when when you get Burns and Johnson.
Great work all around.

I like both moves too. Personally, I'd take Hall over Toews straight up (unless this is real hockey, of course) so getting Buff thrown in is just great work!
Thanks for the posts! Reassuring to know that trading away those 2 players made me better. Hopefully good enough to win another championship!
Who would you drop to activate hall, Parenteau, Coyle or Brassard?
I like the first trade but I think you will come to regret that second one in time even though you had to drop someone. Brassard would be my drop.

Regarding your first deal, not a bad trade by any means but I don't really see it as a huge win.
Towes holds more value then Hall with those settings, no way I swap them straight up.
The guy you traded with kicked in Byfuglien for a reason.
