Default I'm getting tired of praying for potential

League and team details are in my signature.

My team is 2-0 with a lead on this week for a possible 3-0 start.

But I am getting really tired of looking at Kuznetsov and Huberdeau on my bench doing absolutley nothing!!! Are they going to do anything or is it time to drop them for some players that are actually scoring.

I know that it is my bench, but they aren't even tempting me to play them...

Here are some of the names that are free agents:

Colbourne - I know the Flames suck, but they are my team
    Backlund - See above
Gaudreau - I know, more Flames
Glencross - Last Flame, I promise
Voynov - grab and hold in case he comes back
    Lee - Tavares potential
Grabovski - I hate this guy
Burakovsky - bubble should burst soon right?
    Abdelkader - Zetterberg is hot
    Barkov - #1 in FLA
Brouwer - Ovi and Backs line
Zajac - #1 C for Devils, but isn't really doing anything
    Raffl - Giroux potential
    Beleskey - Top line Duck
    DSP - Top line Duck
    Severson - More D potential

    EDIT - Forsberg and Vermette

    Anything there worth swapping out?

It can be frustrating waiting for young players to reach their potential. Not everyone is a Hall or Tavares where they start producing right away and keep an upward trajectory through their first few years. Some guys take until their mid 20s and that's normal development too.

I wouldn't flip one set of prospects for another if your patience is running low. Maybe try to move this young talent to a rebuilding team for a proven asset? Looking at the list though, I do like Barkov's upside much more than Huberdeau's. But again, you're most likely going to have to wait a few years on him to reach his potential.

With your current set of keepers in a Keep-5, I wouldn't be losing a lot of sleep over the Huberdeaus of the world.

I agree with Rainy that I would exchange him for Barkov if you're in the mood to nurture a prospect.

I'd still have a bit more patience with Kuznetzov.

I found two other possible options:

    Forsberg and Vermette

I would maybe swap hubs for Barkov.

Sounds like Barkov gets the spot for now. I was really hoping a Flame would be the choice

There are a lot of better options you've listed than Huberdeau. Barkov is great but will take some time to develop, in a keep 6 I don't think he's worth it as he probably won't give you much this season.

Forsberg is a good option, he's solidifying his spot on the top line with the Preds early on. Glencross, Lee, and Grabovski would be the other top options. Any of those guys will help you a lot more than either Hubs or Barkov.

I'd be holding Kuznetsov for now. He at least has some upside this season if he can work his way into the top 6 or even onto the Ovi-Backstrom line.
