Ok I'm gonna say something dumb.

    Give me Clarkson.

I like him in that setup, and there's not the injury risk that Eriksson has. Hits and PIM Clarkson will be set. If he can even score 20 points this year, he'll have value. And if he can find his way back onto the PP he could go a bit higher in points. He's shown the ability to play on the PP and be productive there in the past, and it's not like anything else is working for the Leafs right now.

Love this post. "Gunna say something dumb" ... lol

You convinced me. Another vote for Clarkson here!

I felt dumb for asking, but I felt the difference between the two wasn't that great either, thanks for the input! Clarkson has seemed to find his groove and could possibly have close to a 20 goal year imo.

As easy as it's been to laugh at Clarksons salary and production over the past year I actually think he's the better choice to keep here. Eriksson will likely outscore DC by 10-15 points but he will be quite lacking in the "tough" categories.

Plus, Eriksson will likely get you a better return in a trade.

Eriksson is generally not good in multi-cat. Clarkson is basically the better of two bad options.
