Bobby Ryan on my trade block, whats his value?

I am looking at moving him as I hate his guts in fantasy hockey haha! 1 manager is pushing hard for him but im not a fan of his offers yet..

primary players on his team are:

Bergeron, Steen, Schwartz, Hossa, Landeskog, Weber, OEL, Holtby, Bobrovsky. (also his 1st round pick would have good value)

He has offered me 2 seperate offers 1 with Hossa and 1 with Schwartz only issue is he wants me to kick him in a pick upgrade with eithe which I dont enjoy doing...what would be a fair deal for both sides? something I can counter with. I need Ryan gone!! haha

I would keep Ryan over Hossa or insist on a pick upgrade for you with that deal.

I'd think Ryan for Landeskog is pretty fair value... It'd be different in your league has HIT as a category. Ryan for Bergeron, with a pick upgrade for you, also sounds fair. Otherwise, you might package Ryan up with another player for an upgrade at that position... i.e., Ryan + Goligoski for OEL + whatever, Ryan + Luongo or Bernier for Bobrovsky + whatever, etc etc.

It's kind of hard without knowing at which position you're hoping to improve by moving Ryan.

I moved Bobby Ryan in my keeper league a couple days ago for the exact same reasons.

I was able to pull Sean Monahan, Jacob De La Rose and 1st round pick.

I'd see if you could get Schwartz and a pick.

Don't get emotional about it. Be objective and if the right offer isn't there, then keep him.

Ryan for Schwartz, no pick upgrades, makes the most sense to me - I'd stay away from Hossa TBH. I don't think you'd get Landeskog straight up for Ryan but it's worth a shot too.

Agree with this, was thinking the same thing. Schwartz is a reasonable return and I don't think you would get Landeskog.

^ This. It's always good to separate your personal feelings towards a player (especially when you're trying to move them) to make sure you get the best deal possible. You don't want to undersell someone just because you hate them. And I really hope for your sake that the other GMs in the league don't know how much you hate Ryan.....

That said I'd put out feelers on Landeskog and see what the GM says. He could surprise you. I also like the idea of Doing Ryan for Schwartz and a (high) pick.

By all means try to move him if that's what you want to do. But you should be doing it to improve your team. I've seen way too many occasions where a Ryan type will be moved for, say, Michael Raffl because "that was the best offer on the table". Meanwhile the franchise takes a huge step backwards with that kind of trade.

Not saying that's going to happen here. I exaggerated my example intentionally but you guys should get the point.
