Drop 2, who would you lose?

Red = Keepers / Black=Dropping
Shortening roster, which two players in RED would you drop heading in to this season? Also any adjustments you would make from players in red to black or vice versa?

I think if you keep Kuznetsov you should keep Reilly. Either that or keep neither. Reilly will be every bit as good of a defenseman - if not better - than Kuznetsov will be as a forward. Does Kuznetsov have any winger eligibility? that's a factor as well, since center is a very deep position.

And I'm not sure Hartnell is a better keeper than Pominville at this point. Hartnell's PIM are trending down, and I think he's the type of player who'll start to miss more and more games and he gets more and more into his 30s.

Another option is to keep no goalie, as you might have to wait a while for Lehner to get his chance, and sometimes that works (Rask, Schneider) but other times it doesn't.

Just some ideas to work with.....

These are easy picks, IMO.

Our 12-team RHRS roto draft was done on Saturday and Lehner went like 35th among goalies.
He may be your best goalie, but I can't see another team wanting him in a partial keeper.
Just because a guy is your best at a position, doesn't mean you have to keep him.
(You would be keeping 9 right: Stammer, MacK, Hall, JVR, Drouin, Hartnell, Wheeler, Voracek, Subban)

I was flirting with the idea of dropping Voracek and wasn't sure if it was bad. I am gonna try and pull off a 2 for 1 trade if poss. W/ these 9 as my keepers would you just be drafting the best d man on the board with my earlier picks and then good back ups or how would you proceed? And if it does stay Keep 11 for me would Kuz and Lehner be the other two or would you consider Stepan or somebody in black instead?

I would drop Hartnell and Lehner. Lehner for the reasons mentioned by Peng, but I think Hartnell suffers somewhat this year without Giroux.

If not for the PIMs, I would have said Hartnell but he is your only real PIM guy.

You only start 2 LW's so keeping a 4th not necessary - can redraft.

In fact I would drop Kuznetsove and keep Rielly - just for the upside and with all the hype someone may take him early.
It is easier to draft centers vs W's and D's.
Also think Stepan will have a good year - good one to redraft early.

Am I missing something? Kuznetsov and Lehner are both listed in black, which means they're already being dropped. I thought you needed help dropping two players listed in red.

Drop Hartnell and Pominville....veterans get underrated and go later in drafts than they should. You should be able to get them back or someone else comparable to them in your draft.
