Fleury + for Malkin + [Rep]

Goalies are hard to come by in the league in my sig so giving up Fleury would be hard, but getting Malkin and running with the Duck tandem has me intrigued.

Trade #1:
My Fleury + 2nd round + Nichushkin
for
His Malkin + 4th round

Trade #2:
My 5th
for
His 10th + Andersen

So this is basically Fleury + Nich for Malkin + Andersen and you incur a small pick downgrade. I still think you come out on top of this trade, especially given Fleury's current situation and the fact that it's not a sure thing he stays in Pitt. I'd pull the trigger here. Malkin type players will always be harder to come by than Fleury types.

I like it. Getting Malkin to go with Ovechkin, Giroux, and Mack makes for a nice keeper group. Getting the Anaheim tandem will lessen the loss of Fleury. I would maybe consider trading Yak or Drouin for some help now as it seems like this would put you close to one of the top teams in the league.

I'd do it.

Malkin is a much bigger upgrade over Nichushkin than Fleury is over Andersen (and he might not even be if Andersen can hold his #1 status - but then you have Gibson if he doesn't).

I would take that deal. You get a top class player for a performant goalie yes, but whose future is very much in play in Pittsburgh.
I'd be ready to say that Malkin has another 100 points season in him, if he can avoid injuries. These players are much harder to get than the volatile goalie position.
Nichuschkin is a nice piece, but he's still just a prospect... Have you thought of substituting him by Yakupov in your first offer?

What really breaks the deal in your favour though is Andersen. You have a full season to determine which goalie will take the #1 role on a powerful team.
Both Gibson and Andersen are young and will still have value once all is sorted out (if one is traded for example).
