I'd want a better add-on with Hall but thats just me. I'd want a 2nd quality proven before I'd move Malkin.

I agree with the others that you should be getting something a little better than a 1st round pick with Hall to give up Malkin BUT I do see why you might want to move Malkin for Hall. D Sedin isn't getting any younger and Hall is as good a LW keeper as any. Even without Malkin you still have 2 top 4 keeper league C's in Giroux and Stamkos.

That all being said, I'd still pursue something better than or on top of that 1st round pick.

I'm just wondering, is that 1st for the prospect draft? Pro draft? Mix draft? Who do you think you could land with it?

Is it the first overall? What is available in the draft?

This is closer then you think for comparison in the last two years expically with SOG added.

    Age: Hall 22 to 28
    Games Played: Hall +29
    Goals: Hall +11
    Assists: Hall +14
    Points: Hall +25
    PIMS:Malkin +21
    +/-: Malkin +25
    SOG:Hall +59
Position Depth: I think LW is alot less deeper
Upside: This is where you can make the arguement for Malkin when healthy he's almost a lock for a 100 points, last year on pace for 98...

I was asking what kind of player might be expected to be available with that pick given his past experience in the league.

Call me crazy but I am going against the others: I'd take it. Hall is LW which gives him a bit of a boost there. With shots/hits you also get a slight jump in that department. I think it is a totally "fair" offer. No one wins either way. I also see Hall as the far more reliable option injury-wise, and I always want my top players to be durable. I'll take gambles on more injury-prone skaters in my depth guys.

I forgot about Hits without crunching the math at quick Glance Hall looks like a slight advantage there too..

Ahh, I thought you didnt see the fact he mentioned the + in the title compared to the post where he says the + is a 1st round pick.

Dont get me wrong, Taylor Hall is my favorite NHL player but if I owned Malkin and a guy offered me Hall and a 1st for him, I'd want a better + for Malkin than a 1st round pick.

You're looking at this from a roto perspective, i.e. full season totals; however, in a H2H league Malkin's injury risk is significantly dampened, as long as your team is solid and he's healthy for the playoffs. Malkin's per-game production is still head and shoulders above Taylor Hall, and when the chips are down I'd rather have Malkin.

Oh OK I see, you're right that was an ambiguous question.

I always like to know some player names because leagues can be so different, even if you take a guess based on # teams x # keepers it can be deceptive, some leagues value goalies really highly so they keep more of them, some leagues they don't keep any d-men so it takes the guesswork out of it.
