Would you trade Ryan O'Reily for Morgan Reily?

Wasn't this sort of asked in another thread, and all of us said yes? Because, well, yeah. The only way I wouldn't is if you were super shallow on F and super deep on D. In all other circumstances, you are getting a solid young d-man for a relatively low price.

I'm torn between Morgan Reily and Jake Gardnier. That's my dilemma

I have also been offered Maatta and a 1st rd pick next year maybe 9 or 10 pick.

If you're good on F, then yes I would.

Rielly over Gardiner for me. And no to the Maata + pick for him (even though I think Maata will be a good one).

Trading Ryan O'Reilly for Morgan Rielly all depends on your league setup and your roster though!

Without any info - I'd say run with Morgan.

That should have been your question then. Not sure how your original one was supposed to get at that. I like them both, and it depends on scoring categories. Safer bet would be Gardiner, but if your league doesn't count hits I'd go Reilly.

I think there is a common misconception that Rielly's small frame means he does not hit - he had 96 hits in 72 games last year (his rookie season) vs. Gardiner with 108 hits in 80 games (or more fairly, 52 hits in 75 games in his rookie season).

Rep for you for pointing that out. Huh, could have sworn he had less. Thanks for catching my error.

It's points only. No hits no PIMs nothing just points

I would still take Rielly. With his fluid skating, competitive drive and exceptional hockey sense he's likely to get 60+ points in his prime for a handful of years (assuming all the stars align). Not to take away from Gardiner who I think will get 50+ points in his prime season(s) if all goes right for him.

Also, his name is more attractive at the trading tables.

They will be close this year and maybe next but Rielly will pull ahead soon after that. He is the more dynamic of the two.
    Points only pool - H2H - Dress 11/week - 2 at every forward position(RW, LW, C), 4 D, 1G
Goalie Points = 2/win, 1/overtime loss, 3 more/shutout (They typically make up most of the top 10 point getters every year in our league)

24 teams but 2 of every player (2 Crosbys, 2 Rasks, etc.) so treat it like a 12 team.

PROTECT 11 (max. roster size is 25)

LW - Benn, Pacioretty, Henrique, Abdelkader, Pulkkinen
    C - Tavares, Backstrom, Johansen
RW - Giroux, Wheeler, Donskoi, Pomminville, Silvferberg
D - Josi, Karlsson, Burns, Seabrook, Reilly, Gardiner,
    G - Jones, Rinne, Miller
