    Default Pick one D

Who would you rather take for next year between these D? This would be my order:
    - Brent Burns
    - Christian Erhoff
    - Mark Streit
    - Andrei Markov
    - Cam Fowler

    Points only
    G=2, A=1

Ehrhoff. He's in a sweet situation for points-only.

I don't mind that list. I see it like:

    Burns
    Ehrhoff
    *****
    Streit - Markov - Fowler

I can see Fowler being the best of those last 3

If G's are worth twice as much as A's, then it goes Burns, Ehrhoff, Markov, Streit, Fowler for me.

The popular pick will be Erhoff, the surprise pick is Markov.

Burns will get 40 points - overall this one is a crap shoot for sure.

Maybe I'm over tired but with goals being worth more than assists I like Mark Streit in this group

Due to the goal bonus, I think I prefer Burns here. Ehrhoff close second.

If Burns was still a forward/D this year I would say he's the right pick but as a D, his goals total won't be near the 22 he scored last year.

I still think if it was me, I'd take Ehrhoff. When he was putting up his good numbers in Vancouver a couple years ago, he was scoring 14G and I don't think thats out of reach for him in Pittsburgh.

It really depends on how Burns is deployed in SJ this year. If he sees any time as a top six forward, then he is the right choice. Ehrhoff and Fowler would be my top choices if Burns sticks to defense.

And seeing how my crystal ball is currently broken, this becomes a bit of a toss up.

True, but he's still no slouch in scoring goals, a couple years ago he played the whole season at D and had 11. Plus there's no guarantee that they leave him at D, especially since he was better as a F. So he might start the season on the blueline and then be back at F by the all star break. It's close between him and Ehrhoff

Its certainly a possibility, but I don't make recommendations on "what-ifs". I try and make them on what I know and right now I know he will start the season as a D. No arguing that it will be close between Burns and Ehrhoff though. I just like Ehrhoffs situation better.
