Default Granlund or Kuznetsov points only keeper

May be acquiring one of these two. Have a look at my sig and show me the way...

My goal heavy league is making me shy away a little from Granlund but not sure of Kuz role in Washington this year

Short and long term predictions always welcome.

    Thanks

I have both on my roster in a league that awards 2points per goal, 1 point per assist. I hope Kuz can be a point per game player. I am pretty convinced Granlund will be a point per game player. I'd go with Granlund.

Granlund, though in a goal heavy league, Kuznetsov has increased value as I see him scoring considerably more goals than Granlund. In their prime, I could see Granlund as a 20-25 goal, 40-45 assist player and Kuznetsov as a 30-35 goal, 30-35 assist player.

I'm feeling 55 from Kuz and 60 from Granny (this has no bearing on what I see as their upsides)

this coming season I'd say 20 goals, 25 assists for Kuznetsov and 15 goals, 40 assists for Granlund

    This sounds right to me.

That said, not sure either are future PPG guys. 70's is more like it for upside.

I guess the safer pick for me is Kuz as I like his supporting cast more but the projections posted look about right

    Ovechkin-Backstrom-Carlson

    vs.

    Parise-Vanek-Pominville-Koivu-Coyle-Zucker-Suter

Granlund has a much better supporting cast, if Kuzya doesn't play with Ovi/Backs his supporting cast sucks.

I'd rather have Granlund as I just don't trust the Capitals and what line they put Kuz on.. We know Granlund will be in the top 6 forsure!!

I like Granlund to score more points, but in a goal heavy league I'll tip my cap to Kuznetsov in this one.

another factor that hurts Kuznetsov (at least in the short-term) is that Trotz doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to letting rookies get quality minutes, and I'm not only talking about Radulov.

as we saw last year, Granlund is already a big part of the offense for the Wild and is a key part of their power play.

In interviews the past few weeks he's been speaking pretty highly of Kuznetsov. I agree, the track record isn't great, but maybe the old dog is learning new tricks

He sounds like he wants to slot in Kuz at 2C

Granlund for me he is just a fantastic all around player that is gonna receive huge amounts of ice time....he dominates the face off dot, back checks, great vision! He joins a solid solid team as well. Kuznetsov is not proven, nor was he selected by the current GM and Coach...he has to prove himself and earn what granlund already has...ice time!!!
