I can see the following scenario play out

Matthews: Rocket
Kucherov: Pearson
MacKinnon: Hart

The voters vote for Mack knowing/assuming the other trophies play out like this. McDavid swept the floor in past years, so they can ignore him this time. They feel good about themselves because "everyone gets a trophy."

yes i found your comment distasteful way before game started....this is not debate on who's fan you are, but who is worthy of the award.

also this had nothing to do with McDavid's assist. You were very convinced AM will be a minus player and he was +3 and your guy was -1. And also he was flat as well for 50 minutes. 5 on 5 he basically barley existed. All 3 goals were scored with skater advantage.

Most people could see that my comment was being flippant and sarcastic. But the goal was definitely to tick off any overly invested Leaf fans, so thanks for letting yourself getting sucked in!

I think with the way MacKinnon has had to put the team on his back at points this season, and his overall consistency, plus the "he's due" narrative, makes him a very likely pick for the Hart. Matthews is gonna finish somewhere between 3-6 in voting IMO. He too has lifted the team at points, but there have been some slumps. Great season, but I am not expecting him to win even if he gets to or near 70 goals. There's others in the mix, like Kucherov, but I don't get the feeling he will win either.
