Be clear, the talk of Pronger perhaps being out for balance of reg season is my opinion, given his age, symptoms and other factors.

Holyyyy shit......absolutely brutal.
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!
Ahh, crap.
Whoa.... it must be pretty bad if the doctors are recommending him to shut ot down for the season and the playoffs in December.
The Flyers will trade for a top 4 defenseman before the deadline, not just a 3rd pairing depth guy.

If we do trade for a top 4 dman, I hope we dont pay something stupid to do it. We have set ourselves up quite nicely trading away Carter and Richards. The future is bright and I dont want to sell that off too quickly.
ouch,
glad i just traded him.
One of my predictions for this season was Pronger's retirement.............
IDHL League 28 team H2H league multicat full keeper
Rebuilding
Cooley, Guenther, Hoglander, Lundell, Quinn, Voronkov, Stankoven, Carlsson
Hutson, Zellweger, Clarke, Miller, Xhekai, Malinski, Thrun
Skinner, Dostal, Hofer
Beck, Bolduc, Dumais, Gaucher, Gunler, Pervalov
Ufko, Benning, Del Mastro, Peart, Grudinin
He's going to be thinking hard about that, I am sure - young family.
Just reported on Philly news by Howard Eskin that Pronger is seriously considering retirement. His family most definitely plays a part in that as well as it should. As a Flyers fan, I would hate to see him waive the flag, but as a person I wouldn't blame him in the least.

Would be terrible to see him retire. Has pretty much been the best defenseman of this decade.
But certainly wouldn't blame him.
I will attempt to speak for the city of Dryden here. We are all pulling for a full recovery, even the haters. This is just tragic. Honestly, I want to see him retire but from the reports it doesn't sound like he's even in a position to make that sort of decision. He doesn't even know who he is half the time or something. Just awful. I know a lot of people weren't fans of his on ice antics but he was huge, HUGE, in the community here at home. Even with him leaving to be with his wife and kids full time and rarely coming home to Dryden he still found ways to make sure he was contributing. He has done a ton of good and will go down as one of the greatest personalities and top players to play the game. I'd say he deserves HOF recognition. Maybe not first ballot but he deserves to get in.
Anyways, I wouldn't be shocked if he found a way to return to the game of hockey. That's just how stubborn he is. I would prefer he put things in perspective and realized he's accomplished enough. I mean, he's accomplished virtually anything you could hope to. I dunno, I'm pretty sad about this and I wasn't even close to a Pronger fan boy the way some in Dryden are, avatar aside. I think it just drives me crazy to see what concussions are doing to these guys and then to see it happen to a childhood/hometown hero... Man, this is just brutal.
Metal, your boy is a 1st ballot HOFer without a doubt.

Calling any dman better than Lidstrom the last decade is nothing but the biggest joke of the day.
