I'm not sure how Krebs is in a bad situation, Vegas is a really good team. By the time he's ready to make an impact in the NHL, who knows what their forward situation will look like. Stastny's contract is up after two seasons, and then Rielly Smith's contract expires the following season. I'd expect Glass to assume that 2C spot, but there isn't really an in-house replacement for the Smith winger spot. Given their depth, I can see Krebs coming in as a 3C in a couple years, and perhaps shifting to a winger spot if they feel more comfortable with him there.
I'd generally avoid drafting guys solely on their situation, especially with a player like Krebs whose defining trait could be his drive to succeed. He's a tough customer, the kinda guy who works his tail off for opportunities, and it would shock me if he didn't end up a very effective NHL player.
As for Boldy, sure he's going to Minnesota which is a tire fire in a lot of respects, but there should be minutes for him when he's ready. I think a big thing we need to understand about these prospects, and trying to project their situations, is that 2-3 years is a long time in the NHL ... a whole lot can change in that time period, so it's pointless to try to project these guys based on current rosters.
