I like Markstrom over Bobrovsky even without knowing where he will play. Although i assume van will make it work as putting too much stock in demkos very short sample size would be folly
League in sig. Given my current keeper situation, I was going to keep two goalies this year for the first time ever (Mark and Bob). Bob was a question mark given his age and recent performance, but I thought Markstrom was going to be a solid if unspectacular starter. Demko's recent unconscious performance has got me questioning things though. My keeper list was:
Malkin
Marchand
Bergeron
Ovechkin
Lindholm
Fiala
Kubalik
Carlson
Bobrovsky
Markstrom
Do you think that's still the way to go? Outside of Atkinson, Barrie, Marino or Gusev there's really not a lot else to like or use as trade bait.

If you can afford to wait, I would. If Markstrom leaves Vancouver, which he very well might, he will be going in as the starter. If he does resign in vancouver then yeah Im not sure I love that situation, unless the Canucks move Demko as well. More time and info is needed to make a sound decision IMO.

I'd be keeping Markstrom no matter what his situation is next year. Your current group looks fine to me.

Markstrom def a keeper, I've also begun to consider the two goalie keep angle in one of my leagues owning him and Shesterkin.

Bob only gonna succeed if they change their system to reflect that of Columbus, two very different approaches to the game and he cannot operate in a north south system.
I'm not totally sure I agree. Bob was a solid goalie before Torts got there, and it's not like he didn't make saves in Tort's first year there either (where he faced around 30/game). I think he could bounce back and have a great year in Florida. The adjustment might have been rough, but I put him in the buy low category personally.

In a 14-team 10F/4D/1G league... I'm not sure I'm rostering more than 1G.
I'm not sure how the points shake out... but Beauvillier (for me), has 60pt upside as near as next season - from what I'm seeing.
He looked really mature in the playoffs thus far. Extrapolate 12pts in 17gp... and 55sog in those games is over 3per!!!
I'd rather have an EVERY-START player like Beauvillier over a "sometimes benched" player like Bob or Markstrom.
Atkinson, for that matter, is also right there... though Cam is no spring-chicken any more.
Personally, I'm waiting to see what happens with Markstrom's situation.
I'm not terribly keen on FLA... or Bob... going forward, either.
I'd probably prefer Markstrom over Bob.
He's got guaranteed money and FLA is likely to be a possibly weakend squad next year if any of Hoffman/Dadonov/Haula are let walk to free up funds.
I'm looking to sell Bob... if there's a buyer.
If your leaguemates are keen... I don't know if you see Beauvillier get back to you in a re-draft.
Thanks everyone for the advice.
Pengwin7, sorry my signature was not up to date. It is now and I no longer own Beauvillier. I do think he'd be available for my first round pick though. At any rate, our keepers lock tomorrow at midnight. There are zero buyers for Bob -- or Markstrom for that matter. Goalies have weird value in our league. My thinking is that I generally tend to overlook goalies while drafting and I end up scrambling and scraping the bottom of the barrel for a starter on a weak team or a 1B type of goalie. If I keep both goalies, I don't have to worry about that this year -- until Bob implodes again lol.
As far as potential skaters to keep -- Atkinson has been a solid keeper until this year. He's fallen in around 2.5 FP/g the last three years, which is pretty much the lower threshold for a keeper skater in our league. This year, he fell to 1.9 FP/g -- losing Panarin as a line mate will do that. I know he was hurt but I don't really see him bouncing back in a big way. Barrie was also a solid keeper until this year, being 2.7 FP/g until falling to 1.8 in Toronto. He could be a good own depending on where he lands but I feel like that's even more of a dice roll than Bob. Marino is intriguing with 2.2 FP/g in his rookie year but it really depends on what happens with Letang and to a lesser extent, Schultz to see where he lands in the PP pecking order. Gusev is probably the most intriguing option though. I rolled hard on him with my first round pick and he only provided 1.7 FP/g but he seemed to start rolling as the season ran on and he saw more power play time with good possession metrics. I just don't see him really exploding without better line mates though.
Anyway, this is just me thinking out loud. Unless any of pearls of wisdom pop up in the next 24 hours or so, I'll be rolling with the two goalies for better or worse.

Rutherford has already said they will not resign Schultz so I would say that slots Marino into PP2 for sure.

i think there is stronger chance of Marino being moved for more experienced D in pit than him being the Guy...most likely neither happens

Given everything you wrote above to clarify. I think I'd keep both goalies. Marino & Gusev should be there for you to get if you want them in round 2 or later, I'd think.
