Traktor Chelyabinsk
First off- im not delusional- i don't think Kuzmenko is some secret superstar- but i do wonder if he enough talent to be one of those guys who can out up star level production in any given year of they're in the right situation.
If you disagree- thats fine- BUT im more interested in what that "right situation" might be???!!
Im curious what teams out there have (and this is sort of counterintuitive lol!) but what teams have BOTH the room in their top six for a fringe guy like Kuzy AND the right complimentary pieces to see him clear 30 goals or 80 points again?
I heard from a legorocks video that they're likely shopping him- which is jot all that shocking tbh- lol!
SO...
Owners out there... where does he fit?

Based on his career shot rate, Kuzmenko needs to shoot 22% to score 30 goals. Despite doing it once, I do not think he has the true talent to be a 30 goal, nor 80 point forward.
To get back to being like a 20 goal, 60 point forward, he either needs to go somewhere like Pittsburgh, where he has a high end talent to play with, or Seattle, where they need to put him in a position of offense. Honestly, a non playoff team (even say San Jose) would be better than a competitive team. Chicago maybe.
His career is unfolding eerily similar to Dmitri Kvartalnov's:
1992-93 (age 26 "rookie"): 73G, 30G, 42A, 72Pts
1993-94 (age 27): 39 games, 12G, 7A, 19Pts, plus point per game AHL production in 26 games
1994-95 (age 28)" out of the NHL
And all this despite Kvartalnov's rookie season SH% being half Kuzmenko's and averaging just over three SOG per game, versus under two for Kuzmenko.
Yes, Kuzmenko is signed for another season; however, at $5.5M it might hurt him more than help him in terms of finding suitors. I do agree that he is capable of finding success if the situation is right and he gets a long enough leash; but I worry if there's a team that can both afford to take a chance on him yet also position him for success.

kuzmenko-horvat-barzal
I'd imagine he could score 25 playing with those 2
