    Default Lias Andersson

What is Lias Andersson's upside? I got him in the 3rd round of a 16 team prospect draft. G=3 pts A=2 pts. I seen one poster on HfBoards had him ranked in the top 10 for NHL prospects, I know different perspective but I thought if he's ranked that high then he should be worth a pick up in the 3rd round of this draft.

    4thOA: Mittelsdadt
    6thOA: Zadina
    10thOA: Kaprizov
    14thOA: Glass
    36thOA: Andersson (LIAS)

that's a hell of a draft.. I think he can poke the 70pt range at his peak, but as Darling says in his write up his ceiling isn't has high as the Mittelstadt's & Pettersson's of the draft.

I was just eyeing up Nick Suzuki and Dylan Sikura but they both got nabbed right before my pick. But after hearing your repsonse on the medal thrower, I am a little at ease.

had a cup of coffee with the Rangers last year... should be a real legit shot in camp to make the team. I figure he'll bounce up and down most of the season... unless he blows them away early.

70 point upside but not for a few years, in my opinion. Rangers are in a rebuild and may rely on him quite a bit. Could do pretty well if he sticks with the team, which I think he will. I'll be cautious and say maybe 45-50 points with a good chance at more.

Off the top of my head I'm surprised he went that late. Are people still upset over his medal toss?

Here I was upset that Elias Pettersson did'nt drop to me in the #4 hole but pretty happy the other picks were good. Especially Andersson. Still some good prospects left. I'd post them but I know these vultures in the league are looking at my thread ... they were already chirping me for posting questions about players earlier lol.

50-60 points is where I have him. Potential second-line center but could play a full season in the NHL this season. Looking at the names who went after him, Bouchard and Jokiharju would have been good choices as well. But Lias is a good choice that late as well.

I think Necas at #10 would have been a better choice than Kaprizov but it's not a bad choice. Actually, none of your choices are bad but I wouldn't label them as huge steals either, so I guess that means you had a very good draft.

Suzuki at #32 was the steal of the draft for whoever got him that late.

I see Chytil is higher than Andersson here, would he be the better NYR rookie to own even in long term do you think?

I really like snagging Yamamoto at #20, especially in a points-only league.

EDIT: I like Andersson at #36, but I would have taken Abramov in a points-only format.

In the 5th round I went a little off the board and swung for the fence and went with Nikita Gusev. There are still prospects like Juolevi, Bean, Brown, White, Kunin, Hayton, Mcleod, Bjork, Raddysh available.

I got Adam Gaudette in the 6th round of our prospect draft. I've been reading mixed reviews on the kid. Don't know what to think of him but I figured 6th round is ok to take a swing at him.

Here are my prospects (and I have 3 first round picks in next years draft lol)

    1. Casey Mittelsdadt
    2. Filip Zadina
    3. Kirill Kaprizov
    4. Cody Glass
    5. Lias Andersson
    6. Vitali Kravtsov
    7. Nikita Gusev
    8. Adam Gaudette

So far, from what I know from what you have shared, the only pick I am not a fan of is Gusev and that's due to the names you listed that you passed on to gamble on him. Cant comment on Gaudette because I dont know who was still on the board at the time of your pick.
