Another Predator (Duchene) in the underperforming category. Does Matt Duchene have one of the top 5 worst contracts in the league? Five more years at $8M per for his 30 - 35 years. That is ugly given his recent performance.
If I am Nashville, Duchene is left exposed to Seattle. The forwards I would protect are Forsberg. Arvidsson, Sissons then one of Johanson or Duchene. On D I would protect Josi, Ellis, and two of Ekholm, Carrier or Fabbro. Saros is an easy choice to protect in the net.

Thanks Moses,
I had thought about putting both in the same article, but perhaps too cruel. heh.
I would be tempted if I were Nashville to protect 8 skaters 1G and leave both Johansen & Duchene exposed.
As I've been scouring through teams the last few months one thing that really struck me is the lack of depth Minnesota has at C.
it's a depth chart of
Eriksson Ek,
Bonino,
Rask
Sturm
Hartman
makes me wonder if Minny would be tempted to roll the dice on either one via trade. Can't help but think Duchene in a new uniform rejuvenates him.
