I barely watched this game past the first inning. Not because I'm an AL homer, but because I refuse to watch a fan-service event that determines the outcome of home field advantage for the World Series OK... that's not true, I was just busy.

On the flip side of that though, it's nice to see the best players in the league actually PLAY for something...rather than just treat it like a walk in the park sorta thing. I understand that the All Star Break is probably supposed to serve as a celebration for athletes, but at the same time I think if the fans and execs and such vote you in, you should be in there to play hard.

My two cents.

I love watching baseball, especially the JAYS.. But they need to do something a little different to spice this game up a little.. Maybe a positional player should have to come in and pitch one inning or all players have to bat from their wrong side of the plate for one inning..

It's true. Take a look at the pro bowl. Those guys couldn't care less lol

I agree with this too. I don't think they'd have a positional player pitch...that's a recipe for an injury lol But something else might be nice.

This is exactly my thoughts.
Maybe if the NHL moved here the players would play a little harder. The ball players actually care now, you can see in the club houses. They wanna win. Totally agree with the rule, either keep the rule or remove the ASG altogether.
